Captured at the Breakaways just outside of Coober Pedy. This is an ancient inland sea bed in the middle of Australia. The white is calcium from coal deposits over millions of years. People visit this over near the Dingo Fence near South Australia, feel as though they are transported to Mars.  In fact, this location has been the scene of many a Hollywood movie. The artist photographer entitled it ‘Desert Opal’ due to the flashes of red, blue and white colour.
